Indyeah’s Tag

February 6, 2009

I have been tagged by dear old Indyeah and actually she had me thinking; on whether I had to answer them seriously or be foolish and silly in my answer……. coz i am bad at this!!!
Sorry for the delay Indyeah, coz my project work reached its apogee this week (will talk about that in another post).
What she has asked for is basically a peek into this ordinary guy’s world and I will try to answer this tag sitting in my room!!!!
(All photos taken by this ordinary guy now for this Tag or at some point in his life)
So here goes……………….

The questions were:-
1. Your age on your next birthday
I will be 26 on 27/11/09. I just hope we do not have another 26/11 like last time.

2. A place you’d like to travel to:

It will always be the trek from Erumeli to Sabarimala during the peak season. A 45 km trek through the jungle, barefoot that is . I have done it a couple of times but I would love to do it again. Lord Ayyapan is not important for me in this trek. It is hard to explain, but the simple answer I can give is that, the word “ME” is forgotten in those 2-3 days. I am just another face in those countless faces on the trail. Everybody refer to each other as Swami. There are no differences between us; no caste, no religion, no monetary background, no language. We are all just simple humans who undergo that pilgrimage. All of us have our own reasons for doing this but we all strive to be good human beings in that trip.
3. Your Favorite place:

Chennai, The city of dreams and memories…………..

My College, where I had an absolute blast for 4 years……….

A small village called “Kavalam” near Kottayam in Kerala. If you visit this place, you will believe that Kerala is “Gods Own Country”. Please note the point, that it is way off any tourist’s radar……………….
4. Your favorite food/drink:

My Favorite food has now become “Maggi” and I am not kidding……drink will always be Coffee.
5. Your favorite pet :

Can I have “Shamu” the giant killer whale…………?
6. Your favorite color combination:

The picture should say it all….. Black and White…………..
7. Your favorite piece of clothing:

My Favorite will always be the Lungi…………… no doubt about it…..
8. Your all time favorite song:

This is a tough one……. but i think the winner is Sealed with a Kiss by Brian Hyland.
10. Full name of your significant other:

My First love, my Pulsar 180………. 🙂
11. The town in which you live:

Los Angeles……… it has now become a part of me…….
12. Your screen name/nickname:

Ordinary Guy…….coz that is what i truly am!!!!
13. Your first job:

Teaching kids with learning disability in a school for 3 months but I did not get paid for it. Hence my first job and my current job, is as a software engineer.
14. Your Dream Job

That is easy…. Getting paid for doing nothing… is there a job like that???????
15: Bad Habit you have:
Same photo as above………….
Many actually, but the main one is Sleep. I have to sleep for 8-9 hours at night. (I also sleep between 9-6 during days, but that does not count)
If I had lived 2000 years back, Valmiki would have found the perfect character to be Ravana’s brother and Kumbakarna would have gone home crying to his mommy.
16. Your worst fear:

My worst fear is that I might have to depend on others at some stage in my life…. It goes against the independent streak in my genes…………
17. The one thing you would like to do before you die:

Do the same thing as I have done earlier…….SKYDIVING!!! but from an insane height………….
18. The first thing you’ll buy if you get $1,000,000:

Gamble the night away in Las Vegas without a care in the world…………………
19. Your favorite credo in life:

It is:
Nallathe Nenai,
Nallathe Sai,
Nallathe Nadakkum
which means:
Think Good,
Do Good,
Then good things will happen……………………
That brings us to the end of the Tag…………. 🙂 Indyeah, if you are not happy, let me know, then I will rearrange the furniture in the house, and take the same photos again!!! LOL

hey Indyeah, the story is that “Ayyapan” who resides in sabarimala is a bachelor God….

That is why only guys who live a chaste life of 41 days are supposed to go there….

I think it is high time, they lifted these rules regarding women….

but let me tell you one thing…..
you would not wanna do it…for hygienic reasons!!!!
lakhs of people…, a single river called pampa to provide water…..
    you get the pic right…..
