SF Darshan: Day II
The day (Saturday) started early for us at 11:30 AM. 
We planned to visit the “Mystery Spot” and the Santa Cruz beach today. So today (like yesterday), I was accompanied by an inscrutable Sindhi from Mumbai named Mr. RB and a dilli-wala named Mr. MS.
I wish that I was like Mr. RB. He is taller than me by 2 inches (6’3) and weighs less by 22 kgs (68 kgs). An actual human lamp post!!!
So after an early brunch we started on our journey to the “Mystery Spot”, a scenic drive through the forest. The “Mystery Spot” is a place on the mountains where you cannot stand straight thanks to some strange visual, gravitational effects.
We did not take the GPS along today as Mr. RB assured me that he knew all the directions. As luck would have it, Mr. RB was entirely wrong and we spent an extra two hour in getting there, thanks to heavy traffic (as shown below) and his entirely non –existent navigation skills!
But the drive was scenic as shown below in the video and so Mr. RB was forgiven. Please watch it for the brilliant mallu song!! The song clarity on the first 4 minutes is good.

After which we visited the Santa Cruz beach and then came back home!!!!
PS: We plan to visit the Napa valley and its wine yards tomorrow.

Yes..me back. Just a few hrs ago. We planned to reach by morning tomorrow but our dear neighbors called us to join at least for July 4th fireworks. So reached by 9:45 pm and fireworks started at 10:00 pm.

You know a hilarious thing happened during our trip. We were on Sundial bridge (Redding) and I saw 3 Indian guys walking towards us. One looked a lot like you from a distance. I told husband that it looks a lot like Ajit and he now lives in SFO which is just 3 hrs from here so it must be him. I started staring at those guys and oh boy! they turned out to be someone else.

We realised that we sat in our living room with three screens – the TV , and both our laptops – so we decided to not switch on any of the screens for a change

BTW, your “getting lost” incident sounds like mines today. I spent half an hr going round an estate trying to fine my mum’s uncle’s house and I had a sat nav.
The stupid thing got me to the house and then made me do a u-turn and started giving my direction to go back. And me the doughnut was listening to it and following until i realise what it was doing (when I got back out of the estate). So i reset and and it did the same thing. Until finally I thought forget it, once i get to the street, I’ll find the house myself. 
I should write a post on this.

Badz, Sat Navs are horrible sometimes! They get all confused
Our street is not on most sat navs and every time we are told to ‘turn around now’ 
And we have to direct almost everybody coming to our house for the first time.
Even when it comes to certain attractions – we have always found it easier to go by the directions on the road – rather than the sat nav
Mystery spot – I have heard so much of it- but never managed to visit
It sure sounds interesting!

As for non-navigational skills- get yourself a sat nav
Much easier – unless you have streets like ours which drives the sat nav crazy 
It certainly gives you a feel of what you did

Murr Wood in SFO also has very tall trees…huge Redwoods. Did’nt know about Mystery Spot so did not visit it on my SFO trip. maybe next time.
