SF Darshan: Day I

This is a long weekend (Friday holiday) for us here in America. So we have major plans for this 3 day weekend as I wanted to have my SF darshan. :D

Our plan for Friday was simple. We planned to visit SF downtown, the Golden Gate Bridge and the famous Crooked Street.

 And so after lunch, we headed out to the Golden Gate Bridge and it was awesome.

After that, we decided to visit the famous crooked street and thanks to heavy traffic, we got delayed by 2 hours.

Finally we reached home at about 6 PM as we had decided to catch a Telugu film at 8. And so at 8 PM, we went and saw the film “Oye” and then I came back home at about 11:30 PM. After which I wrote this. :D

PS: We plan to see the 17 mile drive and the Mystery Spot tomorrow and since I am sleepy could not write about the funny incidents that happened today but I expect more tomorrow. :P

      OG: yup it did!
      i love the Tv show “Full house” and it was picturised in San Fransisco.. i can relate to all this.. how about the tram..? did u ride it..? :-)
      OG That show was my fav!!!!!! :P nope, I did not ride the tram… only car :P

        Really yours too..? :-D i have seen all the reruns.. as many times they have ever showed.. :-D all episodes.. atleast more than twice.. :-D
        OG: ROFL!!!!!!!! :P :P yeah, I have seen it whenever they show it on TV……. my fav char was John Stamos :P

    second :D and this time for real ;) is there any place to jump from it ? and I thought they let you climb the tower..hmm…
    OG: ROFL…… I dont know if they have a suicide point on bridge…… and nope, they do not let anyone climb up……… :P unless you are a film star :P

    Whats that gear thingy man? Never saw such a thing in my life…Automatic setting?
    OG: yeah dude….. automatic gear system…… “L” stands for lower gear which is used for steep climbs….. normal “Drive” gear will not work on climbs……
    Nice pics though. :)

    LOL ur hindi is cute. but dont think its terrible by any chance… believe me when i say i’ve heard far worse! :P :P

    crooked street… and one way! i like the concept :P
    OG: yeah, Thanks to traffic… wasted so much of pertol
    the gear pic reminds me of the 7-seater peugot we hired for driving around in switzerland. thats how i learnt N is for neutral, P is for parking and R is for reverse. but that gear still confuses me. semi-automatics and automatics will take some time getting used to, as far as i m concerned!! (LOL i make it sound like a gun than a car!! :P )
    OG: I still prefer manual gear system :P
    have to add: awesome pics and awesome camera!!! :)
    OG: it was the one of cheapest digi cams, money could buy :P :P :P

    Beautiful pics, OG!!! San Francisco is really pretty…U should go up to Sonama and Napa Valleys and taste some great wines…

    Woww, that was nice snaps. Some of them were just like real postcards. Which camera aliyaa???

    Did your gearbox turn out ‘crooked’ because of the name of the sreet?? and is that why they call it automatic gear ??? :D :D :D

    Oh, I wanted to watch Oy this weekend. Looks like I have to go all alone? Hows the movie? I would watch it only for the songs and our shamilee kutti. Hows she?

    what are the chances….i did some freelance writing for a client and one of the articles i covered was Crooked Street!!!
    and here’s my friend EOG, drivng down it!!!! :D :D i read the flowers and gardens are in full bloom by aug…but pity the houses there! so much traffic all day long!
    OG: I agree…. so many tourists :P Wow you have written about it! classic!!!
    that’s one hell of a drive down that street!! u know what i’d rather do??? take my shoes in my hands and run down in full speed!!!!!!!

    The pics are awesome ! And all three of sat and watched your video – daughter came running when she heard music :) And your Hindi is not bad at all , you guys sound totally like bachelors – according to my husband :)
    OG: hehehe!!!! your hushand must have been thru this :P
    San Francisco is really pretty!! You should make good use of all your weekends and go around as much as possible.. Weather there is pretty great through-out the year, isn’t it?
    OG: yes!!!! it does get cold in nov…….. but not that bad!

    When I visited the Golden bridge, it was very foggy and the whole bridge was covered in fog. It did clear up a little and we could get a few decent pictures. Yours here looks really fabulous in the sunshine.
